To mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death, we're recording all 154 of his sonnets and posting them to our YouTube channel as individual video clips, with the sonnet text so you can listen and read them at the same time.
And every Saturday, Sebastian will introduce one of the week's sonnets in this ongoing video blog and podcast. This is Episode 0, which is simply a welcome and introduction to the project. Sebastian is the writer of The Sonneteer, a play 'on passion, power and possession', which features some of these sonnets and looks at the relationship between Shakespeare and the 'Fair Youth' to whom he addressed the first 126 of them.
